I’m looking for a second row refrigerated console… ideally in the Dune color, but can work with black and just have the top recovered. Anyone have one they are wanting to sell?

I just purchased a rebuilt title, 2014 Ford Flex, and by now most of the parts were used up except for the Ford Explorer consoles. I found your article to be quite informative oh, and thank you very much for posting this online.

In reply to Phil. So you are set. If you do choose the fridge, you'll have the connector by the driver's side 2nd row passenger seat under the carpet.

In reply to teksavy. I do have the limited with the 303 option i have both heated and autofold seats. According to ford the refrigerated console was not an option with the 303 option and the heated autofold seats , this fles basically has every option but the console, refrigeratied or not

Either console will work- refrigerated or non. If you have a limited (which it sounds like you do), you’ll already have the wiring present for the fridge.

If I were do to it all over again, I would probably just get the regular console and skip the fridge. While it is nice to have, the fact that the fridge turns off when the car is off limits it’s usefulness in my opinion.

I just bought a used 2014 flex ecoboost like yours but mine has the appearance package (grey seat inserts). I have been debating on doing this myself but wasn’t sure how the console would fit. The reason for the wasted room in the console is the same console is used for both refrigerated and non-refrigerated consoles. The empty space is where the refrigeration components would sit if it had a refrigerated console. In 2014 the refrigerated consoles were only available with non ecoboost flexes with non auto-fold, unheated seats. The refrigeration unit uses the same electrical circuits as the heated auto-fold seats do.
